Beginnings of Provo Gems

I feel that so many of us don't know well enough the town in which we live. So I have decided, with the help of my roommates to begin a small quest to find the very best things that Provo has to offer--the diamonds in the rough. If I happen to find other odd stones and rocks while searching that are of particular interest, I just may write about some of those as well. With that said, the first Provo Gem is: Maestros
Maestros is a small, quaint gelato shop located on center street that produces some of the best gelato I have ever had (and I have had some pretty good gelato in Italy). I have always questioned why Americans seem unable to reproduce this delectable dessert, but my woes were put at ease upon finding this place. They periodically rotate out their flavors, making for a myriad of new decisions each trip, and the pair who own it are so friendly and when asked are more than happy to tell you about their travels through Italy. Portion sizes are small so you don't feel like a fat cow after you finish, but just enough to tempt your taste buds. Great for a roommate outing, a date, or even a pick-me-up solo trip. I would recommend this place to anyone.
